Tarangire National Park

The incredible national park famous for its large numbers of elephants and dotted baobab trees; it is one of the Tanzania’s rarest gems. Tarangire is believed to have highest concentration of elephants in the world, within a few hours of driving through the park. The National Park is home to a staggering amount of zebra, wildebeest and giraffe all of which attract predators. Among the predators are the ‘Big Cats’, including tree climbing lions, cheetahs and leopards. Tarangire is also home to a population of 550 bird species; one of the largest in Tanzania. Away from the busier north, the southern end of the park is home to camps that specialize in walking safari, allowing visitors to immerse their senses in the experience of exploring African bush on foot
